The grading was absolutley terrible. The majority of my cards were pack fresh and many of the cards I knew were sent in as NM were graded MP. I will never use this service again.

While we can understand frustration when the grading does not meet expectations, we always encourage anyone to reach out to discuss. Even if you've not requested a hold for review, we can often find many of the cards to provide evidence and discuss grades - and in most cases get on the same page. We do not make money by grading cards at a lower condition, and then selling them for a higher condition.

Most grading surprises are a result of assumptions made - for example, assuming cards right out of the pack are always near mint (especially for Secret Lairs) or that the cards opened remain in near mint condition despite being several years or a decade or more old. We always encourage customers to take cards out of sleeves/binders (which hide certain types of wear), and inspect the cards in proper lighting to avoid surprises and to not rely on assumptions.

As graded, this payout was 54.3% of TCGLow if all cards were sold as Near Mint. For a shipment containing almost exclusively sub-$5 cards (45 cards total in this shipment), most would consider that a very good payout.

For anyone considering the service, you can also select the hold for review option, which will allow you to reach out to discuss any grading surprises prior to the report being finalized.
We launched our reviews feature in January 2021, and invited every previous customer to leave a review. Reviewers have the option to omit their payout/fee amounts and shipment highlights page. We publish all reviews, unedited, but may post a response in certain cases. We may need to remove a review if it's offensive (profanity, etc).
