Our Standard Service: Who is Card Conduit For?
We offer a new way to sell your Magic: The Gathering cards, and we believe we'll be a great option for many current and former players of Magic: The Gathering. As with all services, however, Card Conduit may not be the perfect fit for everyone, so we wanted to go over some of the pros and cons of our offering.
Our Standard Service couldn't be much easier: just pack your unsorted cards and ship them to us, and we'll handle the rest. You'll receive a full report of our card value assessment, and a prompt payment less our fees.
Who Should Use our Standard Shipment Service
In the most general sense, those who will most appreciate our service don't want to deal with the time and effort involved with effectively selling their cards. Instead, you're hiring us to do all the work of sorting, grading, and parceling out your collection.
Here's a breakdown of the reasons we think someone would really appreciate our services:
We're Great For People Who:
- want to sell EVERYTHING.
- want a simple and fair way to monetize your cards.
- aren't familiar with buylisting procedures.
- don't have time to organize their collection.
- aren't exactly sure what cards they have, or their value.
You want to sell EVERYTHING
Most vendors will only take a small subset of valuable cards from you, and may have other restrictions or restraints. Everything you send in to us will be accepted; bulk rates for items can be found in the Terms section.
You want a simple and fair way to monetize your cards.
Card Conduit's buying process is straight-forward, easy to understand, and above all, transparent. You get the best rates available to us from our major buylist partners for the cards you send in, and our fee is aligned with your desire to maximize your payout without having to go through the pains of sorting, grading, and shipping out your cards.
You aren't familiar with buylisting procedures.
Every vendor is a little bit different, and how each vendor grades your cards can vary. Card Conduit is familiar with buylisting procedures for all of its outlets, saving time and money.
You don't have time to organize your collection.
Sorting cards is a tedious process most people don't look forward to. Let Card Conduit use its specially designed sorting system to go through large blocks of cards quickly and efficiently.
You aren't exactly sure what cards you have, or their value
Card Conduit evaluates every single item you send in to determine if it has value above industry bulk rates. Get a fair value for every single item in your collection - even ones you didn't know were worth money!
You don't want to pay to ship items to several vendors
You pay for shipping to one place - Card Conduit. We find the best price available among our major buylist partners based on the condition of that card, and package your shipment with others just like yours to substantially save on overall shipping expenses
You Might Consider Other Options If:
- You are very price sensitive and/or have the time to carefully go through your collection to maximize value.
- You want to sell your collection at or close to retail value
- You don't want to sell your collection unless the price is "right"
- You carefully follow the MTG market and know individual prices when sorting cards
You are very price sensitive and/or have the time to carefully go through your collection to maximize value
With Card Conduit, you're effectively paying us to do the work of sorting, grading, and parceling out your collection. If you have the ability and desire to do this already, Card Conduit may not be the best fit for you. The ways to fully maximize your collection value are to: sell individual cards from your collection on marketplace sites (e.g., TCGPlayer, eBay, etc.), or find the vendors offering the best prices on your cards in their condition and shipping to those vendors.
You want to sell your collection at or close to retail value
The MTG industry uses price guides like TCGPlayer Mid or a vendor's sell price to determine "value". Retail selling price is often a price only vendors can achieve. When players sell cards themselves, they typically sell their items to vendors at Magic Fests or online. The selling price obtained this way is often called "buylist" pricing, and can be quite a bit less than retail. The prices Card Conduit uses are the highest buylist pricing available from its major buylist partners. So, while you get the best rates in this pricing tier for your collection, the value assigned to cards in your collection will not be the retail prices on those cards.
You don't want to sell your collection unless the price is "right"
Card Conduit's system is set up to put in significant work to determine the value of your collection. Because of this, we are unable to return your collection after this work is done if you think the price isn't high enough. Our system is designed to be transparent and maximize your collection value to the greatest extent we can, but if you have any hesitation as to whether you really want to sell, or that you could get a higher price on your own, Card Conduit is probably not a great fit for your collection.
You carefully follow the MTG market and know individual prices when sorting cards
One of the biggest benefits of Card Conduit is that every card's value is considered - we are picking through your entire collection to ensure nothing valuable is missed. If you have the price knowledge to do this when looking through your cards, you can easily realize this value on your own.
