Our Auto-Sifted Service

Our Auto-Sifted Service will accept up to 40,000 of your Magic: The Gathering cards, and our service fee is 5% of assessed value. There is no per-card fee.

High capacity and low fees are possible because this service is machine-driven: Our robots will identify and separate valuable cards for processing, while the remainder are counted and paid out at a standard bulk rate ($3/1000), regardless of rarity or finish.

The Sifting Process

Unlike all of our other services, some cards in a Auto-Sifted shipment will not be reviewed by our staff. We will employ machines to identify cards with a retail value of $0.50 or greater. Once our machines have determined qualifying cards, they will be processed normally by our team and itemized in your final report for payment. $0.50 minimum retail value is a particularly low bar to clear, and most cards of any meaningful value would qualify.

Automated Card Identification

Our card identification systems separate cards of value with a high degree of accuracy. That said, no system is perfect, and customers should be aware that some cards of value could mistakenly be processed as bulk.

We have taken extra steps to minimize these kinds of errors. Separating the cards by finish in advance is a key way to help optimize the card identification process. Also, when our machine card identification software is uncertain, that card will be sifted into a special bin for review by our staff.

If you have concerns, please reach out to our support team (or simply opt for an alternative service type). While we consider the risk to be quite low, we cannot accept liability for cards mistakenly considered bulk due to an identification error.

Auto-Sifted Service Prep Requirements

We require customers to prepare their cards for machine processing. Please review the following requirements:

  • Cards must be separated by foil and non-foil.
  • Cards must be facing the same direction front-to-back.
  • Cards must not be sleeved.
  • Cards must be packed into individual row boxes. Refer to our shipping guide for row box recommendations.
  • Cards must not have damage that would interfere with machine processing, such as water damage, substances on the card surface, etc.

Failure to fulfill our prep requirements will make processing more complicated. Depending on the additional labor required, it may result in adjusting your bulk rate down and/or processing delays. In extreme cases, we may refuse to process your shipment altogether.

If you have a large collection with a lot of bulk, Auto-Sifted is likely your most cost-effective option.

Retail vs. Buylist Prices

The Magic:The Gathering market uses price guides like TCGPlayer Mid or a particular vendor's selling price to determine "value". Typically, such retail prices can only be achieved by vendors.

Instead, when players want to sell cards, they will usually sell to a vendor's "Buylist". Buylisting is essentially a wholesale market, where cards are purchased by vendors at below-retail prices for the purposes of resale.

Card Conduit seeks out the best prices among our major buylist partners (e.g. SCG, Card Kingdom, and others) to optimize the value of your collection.

Comparing Service Types

Our AUTO-SIFTED SERVICE is for up to 40,000 cards, and the fees are 5% of the total assessed value. This service is best for customers with large quantities of cards who want an easy option with the lowest fees. Aside from some minor prep work, you get the benefit of our full operation without per card fees.

Our CURATED SERVICE is for shipments of valuable cards, and the fees are 5% of the total assessed value. This service involves a little more work for you, as you'll need to ensure you're only sending cards of value.

Our SORTED SERVICE is for shipments of valuable cards, and the fees are only 2% of the total assessed value. This service is similar to traditional buylisting. You will need to select and sort the eligible cards you're sending in advance (we provide a selection tool once you've registered a shipment in our system).

Our STANDARD SERVICE is for up to 2,500 cards, and the fees are 10% of the total assessed value, plus $0.03 per card. This service is ideal for customers who want the easiest option, and are willing to pay more in fees to ensure each card is individually reviewed by our staff.
